About This Opportunity

The General Manager role is based out of our Kingston site and supports the surrounding region delivering on growth plans, operational strategies and total P&L management. Full accountability for field sales, delivery, warehousing, regulatory compliance, H&S, people & performance management, employee relations, product quality assurance, customer service and account management – locally, regionally and cross functional support on national accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
Leverages robust market and competitive intelligence to build and deliver on organizational strategies and plans
Foster a team & culture that delivers results through a growth & entrepreneurial mindset – “act like an owner”
Develop high performing teams, supporting development programs & succession plans connecting talent across all levels of the organization
Partner with Talent Acquisition & HR to establish best in class talent management practices through: building sustainable talent pipeline strategies - including campus recruitment /internship programs & school partnerships, workforce management and succession planning programs
Manage a team of 8 direct reports who manage a total team of 100 - hiring, development planning, engagement, performance management and terminations
Develops a clear territory strategy in support of employing & developing a diverse workforce
Defines and manages a clear set of metrics/KPIs
Empowers functional leaders to import, deploy, and drive execution of critical tools, processes, and best practices that produce strong positive results in the market (e.g. RED (Right Execution Daily), SOVI (Share of Visible Inventory), OE (Operational Excellence), and OTIF (On-time in Full)
Clearly executes POV on marketplace opportunities, barriers, and threats, leveraging cross-category insights to drive growth and defend the business of the territory
Oversees and ensures implementation of consistent processes that enable organization effectiveness/efficiency and drives productivity.
Delivers results through full responsibility of the P&L for the territory (liaise with channel teams)
Responsible for forecasting accuracy of the territory
Responsible for facility compliance standards of the territory
Participate in capital investment proposal for the territory
Engages and manages all emergencies and incidents (IMCRs)
Builds strong relationships with key customers / suppliers that result in win-win solutions
Support & communicate the company’s commitment to active & healthy lifestyles, focus on sustainability platforms and embedding Coca Cola in the community that we operate within.

Qualifications:
Commitment to mobility & relocation for future development opportunities
Post-secondary education completed preferred in business related field
Minimum 5-7 years progressive Sales experience
Strong business acumen & financial management experience - with a full understanding of P&L, budgets and operating costs
Customer focused with proven relationship building strengths and solid experience developing workforce plans based on business goals
Comfort and ability to thrive in a high-change, fasted paced environment
Proven collaboration skills with the ability to gain consensus through personal influence
Demonstrated ability to invite diverse perspectives, promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity
Accomplished team-builder, skilled at inspiring, motivating and developing people
Ability to travel day trips to support Market Units up to 50% of the time (all in Ontario)
