Pharmacy is evolving—and your role should too! Columbia Street Pharmacy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a unique and rewarding capacity.
We operate using an innovative "Technician-First" practice model, which flips the traditional workflow by placing the Pharmacy Technician at the initial point of patient contact, rather than at the back-end workflow stages. This role allows you to practice within your full scope and utilize your technical skill set well beyond traditional assistant duties. In our synchronized workflow model, Pharmacy Assistants manage routine filling and packaging, Pharmacists provide clinical services and counseling, and Pharmacy Technicians lead dispensary operations and workflow entry.
Key Responsibilities
- ● Order Entry & Assessment: Perform upfront prescription assessments and review appropriateness during data entry.
- ● Final Verification: Perform final checks on prescriptions and compliance packaging.
- ● Clinical Support: Assist with minor ailment intake, administer vaccines, and schedulepatient assessments and consultations.
- ● Team Collaboration: Guide pharmacists on prescription interventions and collaboratewith the broader healthcare team to optimize patient care.
- ● Care Facility Services: Support medication management and operations for partnercare facilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ● Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in medical terminology, pharmaceutical abbreviations, and medication administration procedures.
- ● Regulatory Compliance: Deep understanding of pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and practice requirements.
- ● Accuracy & Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in prescription review, entry, and preparation.
- ● Communication & Organization: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to multitask in a collaborative setting.
*Wage will be determined based on experience and skill-set.
Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
