Lethbridge Montessori School (LMS) invites applications for a full-time Kindergarten Teacher to join our team beginning August 24, 2026. LMS nurtures a warm, whole-child, child-directed approach with a learning environment that balances freedom and structure.
Position Details:
- This position is for a one-year term with the possibility for renewal
- Position dates: August 24, 2026 to June 30, 2027
- Candidates must be able to work Monday to Friday, full-time
Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision and care of kindergarten children
- Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of children
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Complete observations and weekly program planning
- Work as part of a team with pre-school educators
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree and hold, or be qualified for, a valid Alberta teaching certificate (new graduates waiting for teaching certificate are welcome to apply)
- Valid criminal record check, including the vulnerable sector search
- Montessori experience is an asset, but candidates who are eager to learn more about the Montessori approach are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
