Position Summary:
Aquiform West is looking for a part time Accounting Clerk to join our company and support our finance team. Reporting to the Controller, the chosen candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude to learn, and knowledge in basic accounting concepts. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance team with day-to-day operations as necessary.
- Process vendor invoices and correctly code to appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Record credit card and cheque deposits.
- Match accounts payable invoices with corresponding purchase orders.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements.
- Support month-end close process and year-end audits.
- Ad-hoc reports/improvement projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Accounting diploma or post secondary accounting-related courses; additional post-secondary education in accounting is considered an asset.
- Professional experience working in an accounting environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Personable, approachable, and patient, with the ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
- Self-starter with a curious mindset, motivated to learn and share knowledge.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/NAV is considered an asset.
