ABOUT THE JOB
Our client is currently looking for a Drafter/ Engineering to join their team, who can produce shop drawings, special project design, design tooling, fixturing and equipment upgrades, help improve streamline process and work closely with cross functional team members. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Detail drawings in both AutoCad/ Draftsight and Solidworks 2012 that meet or exceed the clients needs, budgets and expectations.
- Update and modify drawings in AutoCad/ Draftsight and Solidworks
- Check drawings before final release to the production shop
- Manage electronic information in an effective and clear manner to allow all project personnel to access and understand the relevance of the information
- Prepare and complete project documentation
- Suggest ways to improve office workflow, procedures and infrastructure.
- Communicate closely with the engineering manager to determined workload, availability.
- Communicate closely with all members of the project team to identify individual responsibilities, project goal and to further your understanding of mechanical designs.
- All information is to be clearly presented to both members of the project team and clients in written, oral or drawing format
- Use precise, concise and unambiguous communication.
- Share applicable technical knowledge to improve Design& Engineering projects and further the knowledge and understanding of mechanical design with the company
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative office atmosphere through shared: respect, reflection and philosophy.
- Reporting directly to the Estimating/Drafting supervisor.
OUR OFFER
- Salary: $65,000-$85,000 annually based on experience
- Permanent full-time position
- Schedule: Mon to Fri: 8am - 4:30pm
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Mechanical Engineering diploma
- Experience working in Metal and Stainless steel industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting with piping systems
- Minimum 5 years experience in Solidworks and 3D modeling
- Excellent communication/ People skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Hands-on experience in a mechanic shop is an asset
