Salary Range: $92,000 - $138,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

MID-LEVEL STRUCTURAL BRIDGE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepare structural designs and evaluations for bridge and transportation infrastructure projects under the direction of senior engineers and project managers.

Apply sound engineering principles, design standards, and analysis tools to develop practical and effective engineering solutions for a variety of bridge and structural projects.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, engineers-in-training (EITs), and technicians, while supporting their professional development.

Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, clients, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and contribute to successful project delivery.

Prepare contract packages, technical reports, drawings, and specifications for ATEC, the City of Calgary, and other key clients in accordance with current policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and manuals.

Participate in client meetings, project planning, and proposal preparation as required, supporting business development initiatives.

Provide construction engineering support, respond to requests for information, review shop drawings, and perform site visits and inspections during active construction projects as needed.

Maintain awareness of current industry codes, standards, and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement within the bridge engineering team.

MID-LEVEL STRUCTURAL BRIDGE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Registered as Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA or ability to obtain registration.

5-8 years of experience in engineering practice in analysis and design of various types of bridge and transportation structures; railway structures is an asset.

Demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering projects with variety of complexity, bridge type, size, and scope.

Experience with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Code.

Proficient in SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, MIDAS and Microsoft Office applications.
