Hours: Rotating Continental (Days/Nights) – 12-hour shifts
Payrate: $24.00/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours

Job Overview:
The TD Centre is one of Toronto’s premier commercial properties located in the heart of the financial district, supporting a large population of tenants, employees, and visitors each day.
As a Security Tower Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong and professional presence at key entry points within the building. This role focuses on access control, tenant interaction, and ensuring that all individuals entering the property are authorized, while supporting overall site safety and operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist tenants, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner

Monitor and control access to the building by verifying identification and credentials

Manage visitor access, sign-in procedures, and vendor/contractor entry

Ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted or tenant-specific areas

Maintain a visible presence at assigned post to support safety and deter unauthorized activity

Respond to inquiries, provide directions, and support overall tenant experience

Monitor building activity and report any suspicious behaviour or security concerns

Coordinate with patrol guards, supervisors, and SOC for incidents or escalations

Maintain accurate logs of visitors, incidents, and daily activity

Enforce site rules, policies, and access control procedures

Respond to incidents, alarms, or emergencies occurring within the immediate area

Support emergency procedures, including evacuations and coordination with emergency services
Prerequisites:
-
Security License in the province of Ontario
-
Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
-
Previous experience in a front desk, concierge, or access control security role preferred

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Professional appearance and demeanor suited for a corporate environment

High attention to detail when verifying identification and managing access

Ability to remain calm and professional while handling challenging situations

Comfortable working in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment

Basic computer skills and ability to use access control or visitor management systems

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
