Ever wondered how that box of cereal appears on the shelf in the store every day? Or how we can move nearly 1 billion units of product from one of our 3,000 vendors, through one of our 27 distribution centers, to one of our 2,300 locations across Canada, and into the homes of millions of Canadians each year with the precision of a well-oiled machine?

Supply Chain at Loblaw is the engine which drives the business, the Manager, Industrial Engineering will lead a team of Industrial Engineers responsible for the maintenance and development of Engineered Labour Standards within the Loblaw Distribution network. With Distribution centers across Canada, you will travel within Canada to lead all aspects of projects related to Engineer Labour Standards. Collaborate with operations leaders in our Distribution network to drive efficiencies and cost savings.

What you’ll do:
Lead Labour Standard audits regionally, including the deployment of resources across projects and initiatives following Loblaw’s methodologies, policies and procedures to ensure integrity is maintained and collaboration with DC leadership and impacted parties is considered.
Coach, train and develop Industrial Engineering Analysts including performance evaluations, performance issue resolution and engagement survey actions.
Ensure strategies are incorporated into business initiatives, projects and processes and all are implemented within established timelines.
Identify, implement and roll out new projects and the creation of Labour Standards methodologies.
Guide and coach analyst through the resolution of post audit issues and new elements.
Lead the development and implementation of productivity projects across the business.
Accountable to design and configure Labour Management system to support Labour Standard implementation.
Oversee Labour Standards unique process tracking and cost benefit analysis to optimal operating processes.

What you’ll need:
Post-Secondary education in Industrial Engineering/Logistics/Business or related field.
4 years’ experience in a related field, preferably within a Supply Chain environment.
Experience with Engineered Labour Standards – data collection, standards development, documentation.
MOST certification, Distribution centre operation and Manhattan experience is an asset.
Proven leadership and project management capabilities in the areas of colleague management, decision making, organizational change, colleague development, performance management, and team building skills.
Experience with VBA and/or SQL, Microsoft Access or ability to learn learning how to use database software.
Comfortable leading multiple projects and responsibilities in an adaptable work environment with ability to prioritize.
Ability to work well independently and as a team with people across all levels, unionized and non-unionized to address problems and communicate sophisticated topics to non-technical audiences.
Work flexibly including travel to distribution centres across Canada.
