We are looking for a resourceful, strategic thinking Pension Analyst to join our expanding Member Services team.

This role is important because you will the front-line pension administrator responsible for all day-to-day tasks in the administration of the CAAT Pension Plan. As part of the Member Services team, you support members by processing various types of transactions using the administration system to perform a variety of activities and perform calculations.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
Understanding of pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts
A quick learner with experience with member transactions
Excellent analytical skills attention to detail, a mathematical aptitude
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Experience processing transactional activities (e.g. terminations, retirements, deaths, etc.)
Knowledge of applicable legislation
Exceptional judgement, strong team player, thorough, and logical
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent Excel skills
Someone who thrives juggling multiple priorities
Your College Diploma or University Degree, with minimum 5 years of experience with Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP), public sector pension administration, or an outsourcing service provider makes you the ideal candidate. You may also have or be actively pursuing your Pension Plan Administration Certificate, Certified Employee Benefit Specials Program or Certified Benefits Professionals designation(s).

Once here:
You will process and complete all transaction activities including terminations, retirements, deaths, transfers, service purchases (buybacks) and pension estimates in accordance with established service standards, procedures and policies
You interact with employers and their members, former members and retired members
You will participate in structured training sessions to increase knowledge related to the Plan document and legislation
You will support required system updates and identifies opportunities to streamline processes
