Our Information Technology team works closely with each department across the business to design, build and deliver innovative solutions that help make MPAC an international leader in the property assessment industry. Here’s what you will do as part of the team:
Lead technical activities associated with the design, analysis and implementation of architecture solutions;
Provide technical leadership in all aspects related to the enterprise architecture;
Determine all technical requirements, resources and cost estimates for assigned projects;
Create and execute test strategies to validate design against requirements;
Develop architectural artifacts covering all the Enterprise Architecture viewpoints (design, standards and roadmap compliance);
Provide training, coaching and guidance to junior team members;
Work with Strategic Portfolio Management and Application Infrastructure teams to oversee all phases of the incident, problem and change management processes; and
Research technology, systems and products to support the IT Roadmap and drive its implementation.
Here’s what you will need to succeed:
Completion of a college diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field;
A minimum of 7 years of progressive development experience in a senior technical capacity;
Advanced knowledge of IT technology (e.g. programming patterns, data structure and algorithms), tools, skills, techniques and methods (e.g. continuous integration/continuous delivery, version control, automated testing, software design patterns, web services, messaging technologies etc) and microservices architecture;
At least 3 years of experience in a team leader capacity;
Experience in Agile Software Development Methodology;
Effective conflict resolution, team building and client relationship management skills;
Analytical and interpretative reasoning skills to assess client needs and develop cost effective and efficient IT solutions; and
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people.
Nice to have:
Certification earned or in progress in the above technologies;
Expertise in cloud computing architecture; and
Expertise in microservices architecture.
