Commercial Transport Technician Apprentice
Dawson Truck Repairs Ltd is a family-owned and operated commercial truck repair facility, located in Burnaby, BC. We are an International Sub-Dealer, which gives us the ability to service Navistar vehicles and parts on a dealership level. In addition, we still provide service and repairs to many different sizes of commercial vehicles, from pickup trucks all the way to cranes.
We are seeking a commercial transport technician apprentice to join our team. The job, as outlined below, is a full-time position with a choice of either an 8-hour Monday-Friday shift, or a four day 10-hour shift.
Qualifications and Experience
- Foundations course completed
- 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
- Some experience within a shop environment, preferably 1 year or more
- Excellent attitude and capable of working independently or on a team
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Communicates well and is adaptable to high stress environments
- Must have strong time management skills and is extremely well organized
Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for keeping the shop clean and organized
- Preventative maintenance programs
- Responsible for assisting in opening and closing the shop
- Maintain communication between service advisor and parts department
- Willing to take and accept direction as required
- Must be well-equipped with own tools and safety equipment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$42.00 per hour
