Inventory Analyst, Niagara-on-the-Lake
The Company
This is a fully integrated, ultra-premium vineyard/winery operation in Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2005. Housed in a state-of-the art facility (one of the first LEED certified wineries in the world), this award-winning winery produces approximately 12,000 cases of wine annually. Sales take place through an on-site retail store, .com site, LCBO, & fine licensee accounts, with limited distribution both extra-provincially and internationally.

Our client is looking for an energetic & experienced leader who can ensure that their Inventory is managed & reported to the organization in an efficient, timely & accurate manner. You will be solely responsible for maintaining all inventory records, systems & databases, and providing management with real time tracking of inventory transactions & monthly reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all inventory & movements within Winery & Warehouses
Execute daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and issues
Communicate regularly with warehouses and properties to verify inventory status as needed. Ensure their reporting is kept up to date in a timely & accurate manner
Work and participate with all departments to get end of month inventory counts executed on schedule
Manage and execute the annual physical inventory count in conjunction with Annual Audit requirements
Make recommendations on inventory levels & processes at all sites (winery and warehouses)
Report to the Controller to provide required reporting & analytics
Manage freight costs & shipping costs
Manage logistics for internal transfer orders
Drive costs down thru minimizing case good movements between locations
Manage monthly transfers and month end reconciliations including month end invoicing for warehouses
Investigate and resolve inventory book to physical discrepancies
Wine template preparation
Maintaining product databases in all core systems
Reconciling promotional wines
Performance Measures/Key Deliverables:
Proper inventory levels at each winery and warehouse
Updated monthly inventory report
Assist each site with end of month inventory roll up
Lower freight movement costs
Complete monthly inventory reconciliations within 1 week of close of month
Qualifications:
2-3 years Inventory Control experience
Associate or Undergraduate Degree in business or related field
Must have excellent depth in Excel (complex database worksheets) & Google suite
Costing experience a plus
Wine or sprits experience preferred
