This senior leadership role within the Project Execution organization is accountable for end-to-end delivery of programs/projects within the Project Execution portfolio, and it ensures the scope of the overall portfolio is delivered in alignment with the IT investment and operating plan. The role reports to the General Manager of Execution, and leads a team of Program/Sub-Portfolio Managers and Project Managers for large, complex and interdependent projects.

You will use your expertise to:
Build positive relationships with business units to understand the business challenges and opportunities to deliver on the portfolio effectively within a matrix environment
Manage existing and new vendor and supplier relationships; coordinate the scope of work, influence the development of vendor selection, lead complex negotiations, and optimize the portfolio for capacity for delivery
Direct the development of strategies to lead large and complex programs, sub-portfolios, and projects; provide clear and consistent visibility on the health of priority areas
Ensure the integration of the schedule and dependencies within the priority areas and across the portfolio; enthusiastically identify portfolio for risks, issues, and dependencies to keep cost and schedule commitments, and coach Project Managers to lead gate review discussions on these topics
Grow the proficiency and capabilities of Project Management and Project Delivery within the organization
Drive a culture of delivery and innovation by motivating the team to select the most effective methods for Project Delivery, while driving continuous improvement within project execution
Participate in co-operative working relationships, including knowledge sharing and partnership in achieving solutions within and across teams
Guide discussions involving a difference of opinion in a manner that leads to resolution through openness, identification of common ground, partnership and direction
Provide mentorship, direction and guidance on technical project delivery to the integrated team; develop team members and hold them accountable to delivering results
Keep abreast of modern delivery project management and standard methodologies, policy and control procedures

We’d like to review your application if you have:
Must-haves (minimum requirements):
15 years of total experience with program and project management, leading complex, multi-million dollar programs and portfolios in an information technology capacity
10 years of management or leadership experience, ideally within a multi-cultural or matrix environment
10 years of experience leading demand and delivery through third party service providers
An undergraduate degree in computer science, business or equivalent
Knowledge of systems development lifecycle methodology and project management tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project)
Experience leading portfolio-level issues, risks, and interdependencies, and expert knowledge in project management core proficiencies (scope, time, budget, risk, quality, integration, resource management, etc.) and project lifecycle methodologies
Effective relationship management skills to work with internal business customers, including facilitation, communication and negotiation skills to run effective meetings related to governance, project reviews, steering committees, etc.
The ability to manage complex RFP/RFQ requirements and develop comprehensive RFP/RFQs; including the negotiation of master services agreements and work authorizations
Excellent judgement and decision-making skills to adapt to multiple priorities and competing demands in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated skills in design thinking, automation, and agile practices, and awareness of new digital technologies and use cases within the business and how to implement them

Preference for:
Certifications in focused areas such as project management, agile methodologies, life cycle processes, or any related industry certifications
