Job description
We are looking for QA Technician to join our PET Food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have experience in Pet food Manufacturing with a background in microbiology. This position reports directly to the QA manager.
Responsibilities
- Place a high priority on food safety in all regular activities.
- Maintain internal procedures and policies for making products that are risk-free for customers and uphold standards of quality.
- Perform Pre-Op inspections and line Checks including sensory and analytical evaluations by visual inspections.
- Assist with improving line efficiency and productivity by following continuous improvement methodology.
- Perform daily monitoring and verification activities.
- Perform ATP, Micro and Environmental swabs
- Assist with training employees on GMP and HACCP components.
- Participate and prepare necessary documents for internal audits, customer audits and GFSI audits.
- Create Dump Log for Swab samples.
- Identifies HOLD situations & isolates products.
- Tracks & gets sign off on master cleaning schedule on daily basis.
- Perform monthly GMP inspection and other audits assigned by QA Manager.
- Collect daily documents and file accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by QA Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/ post secondary diploma in Food Science/Microbiology.
- Previous production/quality experience in a Pet food production environment is preferred.
- 1-2 years of QA experience in food manufacturing facilities (human/pet) is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
