The General Accountant is responsible for month-end close, account reconciliations, cash flow management, financial reporting, and financial analysis. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, ERP experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

General Information:
- Employer: CONFIDENTIAL
- Hours of Work: Full-Time. Thirty-Four (34) hours per week
- Location: Toronto West ON, Canada
- Pay Period: Bi-Weekly

Responsibilities:
- Daily cash applications and monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitor cash flows and projections.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments, including supporting documentation and appropriate descriptions.
- Manage fixed assets continuity and monitor capital project spending.
- Preparation of month end reconciliations and continuity schedules for financial statement preparation.
- Analyze and maintain the general ledger.
- Perform variance analysis on the income statement after close.
- Assist with the preparation of periodic closing and financial statements.
- Collaborate with the team to research and solve accounting issues and tasks.
- Assist in annual budget preparation.
- Identify, research, investigate, and problem-solve GL account and internal control issues.
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and client management.
- Assist with year-end, government and other audit requirements, SR&ED claims, Statistics Canada reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
