Required Education, Skills, Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- 310T license
- experience with computers an asset
- Ability to interact with other mechanics, drivers and management team
- 2-5 years of direct work experience in heavy duty trucks repair and service
- experience with Cummins is an asset
- Must have own tools and CSA approved footwear
- Registered with the DriveOn program through MTO, Skilled Trades and Parsons
Job Duties
- Brake, safeties, and PM inspections
- On road service calls
- Perform fleet checks to confirm equipment condition and identify potential issues
- Repair and diagnose defects as required
- Ability to operate equipment and test drive after repair
- Ability to operate basic shop tools such as welders, torches, impact wrenches, lifts and other required power tools
- Work Order entries maintaining parts used and general comments
- Work with MTO officers during inspections
- Complete inspection forms
