Position Summary
The QHSE Manager designs, deploys, and maintains Parklane’s integrated Quality Management System (QMS) and Health & Safety programs. The immediate priority is stabilizing internal operational quality, process efficiency, and workplace safety compliance. Over the long term, this role will optimize and scale the QMS to support future global manufacturing expansions, while establishing the foundational roadmap to achieve formal ISO 9001 certification.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality & Process Management
- System Optimization: Review, optimize, and scale the QMS to ensure it can seamlessly adapt to future global manufacturing footprints.
- Process Standardization: Document and standardise workflows across engineering, manufacturing production, and site installation.
- Continuous Improvement: Manage root cause analysis, corrective actions (CAPA), and cost-of-quality tracking.
- Document Control: Maintain system version integrity for all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Audit Ownership: Establish an internal audit framework to stabilize baseline operational performance.
- ISO Long-Term Roadmap: Build the foundational systems required to smoothly achieve formal ISO 9001 certification in the future.
2. Health & Safety Development
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full operational alignment with Ontario OHSA regulations.
- Program Deployment: Design and launch localized safety policies, safe work practices, and hazard controls.
- Incident & Risk Management: Lead incident investigations, coordinate workplace inspections, and run risk assessments.
- Safety Culture: Track safety performance metrics to foster an open, safety-first culture across production and site teams.
3. Cross-Functional Operations Collaboration
- Team Alignment: Support manufacturing, engineering, and project management teams in adopting new quality and safety processes.
- Training: Provide hands-on coaching to floor supervisors and field teams to ensure workflow adherence.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Experience: 5+ years managing Quality Management Systems within manufacturing, structural steel, or industrial environments.
- Scalability Mindset: Proven experience developing or optimizing multi-site or global quality frameworks.
- Systems Expertise: Direct experience building, maintaining, or auditing quality systems (exposure to ISO 9001 frameworks preferred).
- System Tools: Strong proficiency in Corrective and Preventative Action management, document control systems, and process mapping.
Preferred (Can Be Developed)
- Local Regulations: Familiarity with Ontario workplace safety expectations and Ministry of Labour guidelines.
- Development: Commitment to complete formal safety training within the first 12–18 months.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
