Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and basic math accuracy.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, workstations, and sanitation standards according to health regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests efficiently and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Experience with cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for processing transactions accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with good time management skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in hospitality or guest services roles is a plus, along with kitchen or food preparation background for added versatility.
