The Senior Manager, Product will operationalize strategies for optional member products, including Life, Critical Illness, AD&D and more. Working in close collaboration with teams such as Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance, the Senior Manager will implement new products, manage campaigns, and lead special projects.
The Optional Benefits Product Team mandate is the strategic direction, management, and execution of our Optional Life, Critical Illness, and AD&D products. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Management, your role is critical in launching and driving uptake of innovative solutions that advance our healthcare strategy and ambition.
Individual Responsibilities:
Project management: Establish and maintain a reporting framework to ensure product launch plans and status are clearly communicated to stakeholders across the organization
Relationship management and influence: Develop relationships with individuals across the organization to identify opportunities for partnerships and ensure shared goals are reached
Project leadership: Drive the execution of ad hoc projects to grow the portfolio, as well as support member and sponsor experience
Portfolio expansion: Lead efforts end-to-end to implement new Optional Benefits products and features, from roadmap development to execution
Product excellence: Lead initiatives in support of the broader Product and Platform organization
Shared Responsibilities:
Partner with Member and Sponsor digital teams to ensure that purchasing journeys and marketing collateral are engaging and optimal
Collaborate across Business Units (BUs) to align distribution strategies with Group Benefits business practices, sponsor expectations and Canada segment goals
Be the first point of contact for all questions and support sales/distribution on any product inquiries

Required Qualifications:
7+ years of project management experience working with cross-functional teams to lead initiatives from scoping to execution
University degree
Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts
Ability to develop PowerPoint decks to clearly convey business priorities and project progress
Proven ability to learn new material and develop relationships within a short amount of time
High level of self-motivation and keen sense of 'owning' and delivering on project deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in consulting or a start-up environment
Experience implementing new products or services in a highly matrixed and regulated environment
An understanding of life insurance, critical illness, accidental death and dismemberment products, or an understanding of the group benefits space more broadly
Project management certification
Willingness to travel as required

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD
