Your contribution!
Reporting to the Senior Director - IT Infrastructures and Operational Technologies, the Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the smooth operation and evolution of the company's systems in collaboration with a team of specialists. He or she will work for Innergex's corporate sites and for our renewable energy facilities (hydroelectric, wind, solar and storage) located in Canada, the United States, France and Chile. He or she will work closely with the architects to define architectural targets and propose appropriate roadmaps.
Your day-to-day!
- Administer our Windows systems and OnPrem and Cloud data centers;
- Administer and manage server solutions, including OS, AD, VM, PaaS, SaaS, AAD, FTP;
- Analyze the performance, capacity and security of IT equipment and analyze recurring issues, identify and implement definitive solutions;
- Implement IT and software solutions tailored to business needs;
- Participate in the continuous updating of environments and systems;
- Contribute to the administration of virtualization and storage environments;
- Take an active part in solving system problems;
- Collaborate on projects to integrate new information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) solutions;
- Assist and guide other IT teams in solving technical problems;
- Optimize and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools;
- Monitor and respond to system and security alerts;
- Manage server rooms, including UPS, electricity, air conditioning, alarms, etc.;
- Create and update technical documentation;
- Contribute to strategic orientations and advise on emerging technologies;
- Create and maintain scripts as needed to automate processes;
- Set up, maintain and regularly produce controls for regulatory audits;
- Actively participate in the development of infrastructure architecture.
Your skills, our requirements!
- University degree in computer science or college diploma with significant experience in the field;
- 7 to 10 years in systems administration;
- Knowledge of the concepts, technologies and products of systems such as virtual mode, cloud (in hydride mode) and mobility;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Be able to collaborate with the company's operations and construction teams;
- Be sensitive to risk management and participate in the implementation of cyber security and monitoring solutions;
- Organizational skills and thoroughness;
- Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis;
- Available for occasional evening and weekend work

- Hybrid Architecture (OnPrem/Cloud)
- Solarwinds/Orion
- Experience:
- MSSQL
- PowerShell scripting
- LAN/WAN, firewall, switch, wireless technology
- An asset:
- Knowledge of operational technologies
- Relevant certification (Microsoft, ITIL, IT security, etc.)
- JIRA/CONFLUENCE project management application and documentation
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (SOX/ITGC)
- Experience of system administration in an IoT environment

- The position is based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
- This position is a P3 level.
