Desirable day shift hours: Monday to Fridays, 7 AM to 3 PM
What this role is about:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will complete all work assigned that is associated with maintenance, including all maintenance related tasks on the premises and boiler operations. Duties to include but not limited to the following:
Repair, clean, and lubricate equipment, pumps and compressors
Monitor and inspect equipment including boilers
Maintain preventative maintenance schedule
Carry out emergency maintenance activities as required
Ensure that equipment is running at optimal capacity through operational checks such as observation and visual checks
Assist with new installations and machine modifications
Resolve daily equipment problems
Maintain work areas in a neat and tidy condition with particular attention to health and safety and food safety
Qualifications:
Certified Industrial Electrician or Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
4th Class Power Engineer ticket is an asset
Experience in an industrial environment
Team player who also has the proven ability to work independently
Strong technical, mechanical, and diagnostic skills
Experience with PLC, troubleshooting, plumbing, and pipe fitting
