Job Summary
As a Scaffold Labourer at L&A Scaffolding, you will be responsible for the organization, maintenance, and preparation of all scaffolding inventory. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our field crews have the right equipment, in safe condition, to complete their projects on time. This is a physically demanding role that requires teamwork and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
● Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload scaffolding equipment (tubes, boards,
frames, and fittings) from delivery trucks and trailers.
● Inventory Maintenance: Sort and stack equipment according to company standards.
Identify damaged or worn components and set them aside for repair or disposal.
● Order Fulfillment: "Pick" equipment lists for upcoming jobs, ensuring all necessary
parts are bundled and ready for transport.
● Equipment Servicing: Clean, paint, and perform basic repairs on scaffolding
components to ensure longevity and professional appearance.
● Site Safety: Maintain a clean and hazard-free yard environment. Follow all STS (Safety
Training Sign-in) protocols and PPE requirements.
● Documentation: Assist in tracking inventory movement by accurately filling out load
sheets and return forms.
Skills & Qualifications
● Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet
for the duration of a shift.
● Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
● Technical Savvy: Basic knowledge of scaffolding components (ring-lock, frame, or tube
and clamp) is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
● Safety Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying potential hazards in a busy yard
environment.
● Forklift Certification: (Preferred) Valid license to operate a counterbalance forklift in a
yard setting.
