We are looking for an organized shipping coordinator to be responsible for all aspects of coordinating the shipment of orders to a wide variety of international destinations. This person would be responsible for planning shipments and establishing and communicating shipping priorities with all relevant parties. Arranging packaging, pick-up, and all transportation requirements with outside carriers. Processing shipping documents, maintaining records, and performing other required shipping administrative tasks to maximize customer satisfaction and actively working to increase shipping efficiencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Package products according to the described steps
· Prepare shipping documentation
· Tracking shipments
· Communicate with clients and shippers and resolve any complaints.
· Prepare shipping quotes for customers
· Keep a meticulous record of shipment information.
· Checks in arriving trucks and generates picklist
· Manage related inventories
· Participate in team, department, and company-wide meetings as scheduled. Actively participate in team discussions and provide feedback to maintain and improve the work environment.
· Utilize proper handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages and reduce injuries.
· Operate forklift
Requirements:
· Some college and/or business training courses preferred.
· 1-3 years demonstrated; similar experience preferred.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Computer literacy skills.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Ability to multitask.
