Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance their comfort and dignity
- Support medication administration following proper protocols to ensure safety and compliance
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic living environment for residents
- Support individuals with disabilities or dementia by implementing personalized care plans and behavioral strategies
- Document care provided accurately in resident records and communicate any changes or concerns to the nursing team
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks, meal preparation, and other household duties reliably
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent is preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is encouraged
- Experience working with diverse populations requiring specialized care is an asset
