We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their living spaces are tidy and organized.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to create effective care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in medication administration or willingness to obtain certification is an advantage.
