POSITION OVERVIEW:
TriPoint Insurance Underwriting Inc. is currently seeking an Underwriter Assistant to join our team and support the SHOP (Select Hospitality Owners Program). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting underwriters with a range of essential tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate new business triage by setting up in EPIC/Policy Works, attaching all relevant correspondence
- Handle document issuance, including but not limited to new and renewal policies and endorsements
- Manage the invoicing process for new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Manage and oversee a master renewal list
- Send out renewal questionnaires 90 days prior to the expiry date.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring timely responses, accurate product information, and effective communication.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, protocols, and directives.
- Foster a company culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and innovation.
- Fulfil any additional duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideally, a minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry within a commercial setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, and insurance software (EPIC/Policy Works) is preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college/ university education is a plus.
- Preference given to candidates with insurance designations (such as CIP, CAIB, FCIP, CRM, R.I.B.O., etc.) or those enrolled in relevant certification programs.
