The Traffic Safety Representatives will work games and events outdoors in all weather conditions at TD Place including the Parking Garage. This role assists in the safe and effective ingress and egress of on-site guests that include pedestrian and vehicle traffic control, shuttle bus management, specialty parking and any other duties assigned by their respective Team Lead.
What you’ll do:

Assist with the direction of vehicle and pedestrian traffic;

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely using a radio;

Set up and tear down traffic safety equipment;
-
Understand and utilize scheduling tools provided by TD Place on a consistent basis;
-
Arrive at TD place ready for employment with suitable attire.
What’s needed:

Able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and during the holiday season;

Candidates must be available to work during key events, including the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship (December 26 2024 to January 5, 2025) and the Ottawa Christmas Markets (November 25, 2024 to January 5, 2025).

Able and willing to work in various weather conditions;

Excellent communication skills;

Ability to problem solve;

Periodically work in a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment;

Ability to take direction as well as constructive criticism;

CSA Approved Safety Shoes/Boots;

Bilingualism is considered an asset.
