Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join our team and support the daily operations of our optical practice. The ideal candidate will assist with patient interactions, optical product management, and administrative tasks to ensure a seamless experience for our clients. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and customers professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical history and verifying insurance information
- Help patients select eyewear and accessories, offering product recommendations based on individual needs
- Measure and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately, ensuring proper alignment and comfort
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with lens processing and adjustments as needed
- Manage inventory of optical products, ensuring stock levels are maintained and organized
- Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and processing transactions
- Educate patients on optical products, lens options, and proper eyewear care
- Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences
Skills
- Retail sales experience, especially in eyewear or healthcare products, is a asset but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Basic proficiency with data entry systems and electronic equipment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused attitude with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Willingness to learn about optical products, eye health, and sales techniques for career growth

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
