Petroleum Mechanic 2 (PM2) – Underground Installation
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Petroleum Mechanic 2 (PM2) to lead and execute fuel system projects. You will work without supervision to install, remove, alter, test, and maintain underground storage tanks (USTs), containment systems, and product piping at retail and commercial fueling facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Underground Installation: Position and install underground fuel storage tanks, sumps, and submersible pumps safely.
- Piping Systems: Layout and connect primary and secondary petroleum transfer piping systems.
- Decommissioning: Purge, excavate, and remove legacy underground tanks and equipment following strict safety protocols.
- Leak Detection & Testing: Program, calibrate, and service leak detection systems and perform precision line testing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all onsite work complies perfectly with provincial environmental regulations and safety codes.
- Reporting: Complete mandatory precision test sheets, sign-off logs, and daily safety assessments accurately. [1, 2]
Required Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid, active Petroleum Mechanic 2 (PM2) license is mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience in leading a crew and installing fuel tanks, fuel lines and dispensers
- Driver's Licence: Clean driving record with a valid commercial or standard driver's licence.

- Expert ability to read and interpret engineered site blueprints and complex technical schematics.

Pay: $30.00-$65.00 per hour
