Duke Electric is a leading Electric motor sales and service shop located in Hamilton, Ontario.
Beginning in 1933, Duke has a history of first class repair and refurbishment and Top rate customer service in Southern Ontario. We require a professional Outside sales representative to join our team concentrating on new Midsize to Large user businesses and reenergizing some select older dormant existing accounts.
Position Summary
Get to know each customer thoroughly.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of our benefits and company services and products.
Be prepared to devote the time to be a success.
Operate efficiently and effectively with a minimum of close supervision.
Demonstrate a confident and positive attitude towards our company and our customers.
Maintain the desired profit margins required to be successful.
Work with our preferred Vendors as a partner and create positive working relationships.
Successful candidate must learn our products and services through material supplied and working with our team to be proficient in the field.
All sales and service quotes to be followed up and reported on.
Gain a working knowledge of not just our companies strengths and weaknesses but that of our competitors through company websites and word of mouth in the field.
Conduct yourself in a positive manner and avoid diminishing our competitor’s accomplishments.
Maintain an organized weekly business plan to work from and present yourself in a clean and neat manner while taking reasonable precautions to present yourself to our customers in a way they will respect.
Work with our inside staff in a clear, concise and polite manner no different than the way you will present yourself to our customers.
Customer Relationship Management: Create and maintain customer relationships, through proactive communication and follow-up.
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school education or greater
Industry knowledge and a min of 5 years professional experience in our industry or related industry.
Must have a valid Ontario drivers license
Must be organized and able to communicate effectively.
Computer capable in word and excel.
Friendly outgoing personality with a keen understanding of business.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary of $60k to $80
Yearly Bonus program paid out twice per annum.
