Support Worker – Adult & Children's Services
Mission Association for Community Living (MACL) is hiring experienced Support Workers for permanent, temporary, and on-call casual positions in our residential and community programs supporting both children and adults.

What You'll Do
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Support individuals with daily living, personal care, and community participation
- Encourage meaningful activities, relationships, and independence
- Follow individualized support plans, behaviour support plans, and safety plans
- Support people with a wide range of abilities and support needs, including some individuals with complex behaviours
- Work independently while remaining connected to a professional team
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation
Who We're Looking For
This role may be a good fit if you:
- Have experience supporting children and/or adults with developmental disabilities or complex support needs
- Are comfortable providing personal care and health related supports
- Have experience following behaviour support plans and safety plans
- Communicate clearly and maintain professional boundaries
- Can work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Are able to obtain a Class 4 Driver's Licence and are comfortable driving as part of the role
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Mission and can reliably attend scheduled shifts, including short notice shifts when required
Children's Services Opportunities
Some positions involve supporting children and youth with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Candidates interested in these opportunities should:
- Have direct experience working with children or youth with diverse support needs
- Be eligible to obtain a HUB screening and any additional clearances required for children's services
- Be comfortable supporting children with personal care, behavioural needs, and community activities
Applicants without children's experience are still encouraged to apply, as opportunities are also available in adult residential and community programs.

Shift Options
Preference will be given to applicants with open availability who can work a variety of shifts.
Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Evening Shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Awake Overnight Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
