Overnight ER / ICU Veterinary Assistant
Weekend Overnight Position – Emergency & Critical Care
Dr. Vetamin is expanding its overnight emergency services and is looking for a motivated, calm, and capable Veterinary Assistant who enjoys fast-paced emergency medicine and critical patient care.
This is not a routine daytime GP position.
This role is ideal for someone who:

- prefers a smaller independent hospital environment over corporate structure
Position Type
- Weekend overnight shifts (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting the veterinarian with emergency and urgent care cases
- Monitoring hospitalized and ICU patients
- Assisting with radiographs, ultrasound preparation, blood collection, catheter placement, and treatments
- Patient restraint and nursing support
- Emergency room preparation and workflow support
- Communicating updates to clients when appropriate
- Maintaining a calm and efficient overnight workflow
Ideal Candidate
We are especially interested in candidates with:
- ER, ICU, or urgent care experience
- Strong restraint and patient handling skills
- Confidence working independently overnight
- Ability to remain calm during emergencies
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility and reliability
Veterinary assistant students, experienced animal care attendants, and experienced assistants from GP or ER settings are encouraged to apply.
