Hi-Lon Glass Services Ltd. is an award-winning Glass Service Company that specializes in the repair or replacement of all makes and models of windows and doors. Partners with top Condo Property Manager Companies throughout the Greater Toronto area since 1968. Over the years, Hi-Lon has developed relationships with a large network of suppliers. This enables us to obtain parts for windows and doors that other service companies do not readily have access to. As a result, Hi-Lon is often able to repair problems for a reasonable price whereas many of our competitors can only replace entire units or systems.
We are currently looking for Glazier Apprentice that have 1- 2yrs experience working with glass and/or doors and would like to work towards becoming a Glazier.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and tidy work area.
- Carry tools to and from work sites.
- Assist with cutting glass, products to size.
- Take accurate measurements using an imperial tape measure.
- Assist in the installation of glass, screens, windows, thermal units, patio doors and steel doors with attention to details.
- Assist in the installation of hardware for windows and doors.
- Perform installation of weather-stripping and caulking on windows.
- Uphold Hi-Lon's company rules and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Effective time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
- A valid G driver’s license.
- An acceptable driver’s abstract.
- An acceptable criminal records check.
- WAH certificate preferred.
- Able to do heavy lifting (50lbs).
Education
- Secondary (high school) graduate certificate.
