Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures is preferred.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick resolution of minor vehicle issues.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to driving and material handling.
