Job Posting – Solar Installation Labourer (≈3-Month Contract)

Net Zero Electric is looking for a motivated Labourer to join our solar installation team for a 3-month contract. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience installing commercial and residential solar energy systems while working alongside experienced electricians and installers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in construction, electrical work, roofing, or renewable energy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with the installation of residential and commercial solar PV systems
- Moving and staging materials and equipment
- Assisting with roof mounted solar installations
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
- Assisting electricians with construction tasks
- Working outdoors
- Completing other general labour duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and dependable
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to work on ladders and flat rooftops
- Good communication skills
- Works well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Punctual and self-motivated
Requirements
- Your own reliable transportation to job site
- Working at Heights certificate
- CSA-approved work boots
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Experience in construction, carpentry, electrical work, roofing, or solar installation is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right individual.
