Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Warehouse Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse distribution, ensuring accurate order picking, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This role requires experience with heavy equipment operation, warehouse management systems, and shipping & receiving processes. The Warehouse Organizer plays a vital role in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to optimize space utilization and accessibility
- Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker tools
- Operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including verifying inventory and preparing items for dispatch
- Support construction or reorganization projects within the warehouse as needed
- Ensure proper handling of materials during loading and unloading to prevent damage
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse environment
- Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes and efficiency
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience with order picking, load & unload operations, and warehouse organization preferred
- Knowledge of construction or industrial environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Relevant certifications for forklift or crane operation are advantageous but not mandatory
