Mary Brown’s is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Full-Time Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality food to our guests by safely preparing and cooking our signature menu items, handling raw products, and maintaining strict kitchen cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Mary Brown’s signature chicken, taters, and other menu items according to exact brand recipes and standards.
- Handle, marinate, and prep raw chicken and other raw food products safely and hygienically.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including deep fryers, ovens, and preparation stations, efficiently and safely.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety regulations strictly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food prep areas, walk-in coolers, and dishwashing stations.
- Ensure proper portion control and minimize food waste.
- Restock kitchen prep lines and assist with heavy inventory duties and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Work cooperatively with cashiers and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth, fast, and accurate order fulfillment.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift or move heavy items up to 50 lbs (23 kg) (such as bulk bags of fresh taters, flour, and oil blocks).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced commercial kitchen setting with high-volume production.
- Continuous exposure to hot environments near commercial fryers and food preparation areas.
- Strict adherence to using protective equipment and safety protocols when handling hot oils and machinery.
Qualifications
- Comfortable handling and preparing raw meat and poultry products.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Hardworking, dependable, and physically capable of managing kitchen demands.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a calm, positive attitude under pressure.
- Previous back-of-house, cooking, or restaurant kitchen experience is considered a strong asset but is not required.
Education and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Safe Food Handling and First Aid certifications are considered strong assets.
Pay: $16.75 per hour
