About us:
Business Sherpa Group is currently looking to hire an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk for one of our law firm clients in the Ottawa region. This is a fully remote role, and details of the location and organization will be disclosed with candidates who are contacted for interviews.
The Real Estate Law Clerk is a central resource for clients and the legal team on real estate matters. This role ensures that transactions are completed accurately and on time by managing files, documentation, and communications with lenders, brokers, and other third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, prepare, and revise residential and commercial real estate files, refinances, private loans and related documents from opening to closing.
- Conduct searches and registrations using Teraview and related systems
- Work confidently within Unity, FCT, and other real estate software
- Communicate with clients and third parties to gather required information and provide file updates
- Consistently deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Other general administrative work as required
Qualifications:
- Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory
- 5 or more years of experience as a real estate law clerk supporting both residential and commercial transactions
- Strong working knowledge of Unity, Teraview, FCT, and other real estate software
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently with minimal training
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files at once
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism with clients, lawyers, and external parties
