We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who is passionate about paediatric rehabilitation and thrives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
This role is based at the KidsInclusive sites at Hotel Dieu Hospital (Kingston) and Brockville, with travel throughout the KFLA and Leeds, Grenville and Lanark (LLG) regions, including schools, homes, and community settings.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Assess and support children and youth with a wide range of communication, developmental, and feeding needs
- Deliver individual and group interventions in clinic, school, home, and community environments
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Provide services in:
- Developmental paediatrics
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC/ACS)
- Feeding and swallowing
- Communicate assessment findings and recommendations clearly with families and care partners
- Supervise therapy assistants and contribute to client progress monitoring
- Maintain clinical documentation aligned with College standards and KHSC policies
- Partner with families, educators, and community agencies to support integrated care
- Promote family-centred practice, ensuring dignity, respect, and active participation in decision-making
- Liaise with schools, daycares, and external service providers (with consent)
- Participate in team and programme meetings
- Support onboarding, mentorship, and student education
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and programme development
- Maintain ongoing professional development and learning
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Current registration and good standing with CASLPO
- Minimum 2 years’ recent paediatric experience (Children’s Treatment Centre preferred)
- Experience supporting children with complex physical and developmental needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to deliver care in community-based environments
- Commitment to client and family-centred care principles
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Health Care Provider level)
- Satisfactory criminal reference check including vulnerable sector screening
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset
