Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery of goods to customers, ensuring that products are delivered safely and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Ensure that all items are securely packed and organized for transport.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, handling items that may weigh up to 50 pounds or more.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and delivery vehicle.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts when necessary (training may be provided).
- Support moving operations by assisting with packing, loading, and unloading of goods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or moving environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy items consistently throughout the day.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus but not required.
- A commitment to safety practices while handling equipment and performing deliveries.
- Customer service experience is highly valued, ensuring a positive delivery experience for clients.
