Mint Health + Drugs is a growing healthcare organization with a simple but important purpose: to help people access the care, service, and support they need in the communities we serve.
We are pharmacist-led, people-focused, and committed to creating a workplace where accountability, teamwork, and service excellence matter. Our teams work hard, support one another, and take pride in delivering care that is professional, compassionate, and practical.
At Mint, every role contributes to the experience we create for our patients, customers, partners, and employees. We are looking for people who bring initiative, reliability, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for ( 3 ) Pharmacy Students that have completed the second year of the program and Registered with ACP to join our Pharmacy Student - Clinical Centre of Excellence.
This Is Not a Traditional Pharmacy Student Job
Mint Health + Drugs is launching the Pharmacy Academic Centre of Excellence — the PACE Pilot Program — and we are searching for three exceptional pharmacy students who want to go far beyond the standard summer experience.
This is a fully immersive clinical preparation role. There is no dispensary work. Selected students will dedicate 100% of their working time to developing the knowledge, judgment, precision and confidence needed to support high-quality clinical pharmacy services.
Our goal is bigger than filling three ( 3 ) summer positions. We want to identify outstanding students early, invest in them throughout their academic careers and create a pathway for them to join Mint as fully licensed pharmacists after graduation.
Learn From One of Alberta’s Best
PACE students will be supervised and mentored by our Manager of Operations, who was recognized as Pharmacist of the Year by the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
This is a rare opportunity to learn directly from an accomplished pharmacy leader with deep expertise in clinical practice, pharmacy operations and patient care. You will receive meaningful feedback, be challenged to think critically and gain exposure to the standards of excellence required to become an exceptional clinical pharmacist.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Prepare and organize materials that support clinical pharmacy services and patient care activities.
- Review patient information and clinical documentation under appropriate pharmacist supervision.
- Support the preparation of clinical assessments, care plans, recommendations and follow-up activities.
- Identify missing information, inconsistencies and opportunities to strengthen clinical files.
- Develop a strong understanding of clinical workflows, documentation standards, quality expectations and professional accountability.
- Learn how clinical pharmacy programs are designed, delivered, measured and continuously improved.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and members of Mint’s corporate clinical and operations teams.
- Contribute ideas that improve accuracy, efficiency, consistency and the patient experience.
- Help build and refine a new Centre of Excellence from the ground up.
As your knowledge and demonstrated capabilities grow, so will the complexity and impact of your work.
