Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to ensure a positive experience for every client. Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and other modalities.
- Assess client conditions and discuss treatment goals to develop personalized therapy plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress in accordance with privacy policies.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up therapies or wellness practices.
- Uphold all health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and satisfaction throughout the session.
- Stay informed about new techniques and industry best practices through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively understand client needs and explain treatment options.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude at all times.
- Prior experience in a wellness or spa setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
