Kiwi Collection is an online travel company and one of the world’s largest independent reviewers of luxury hotels. Founded in 2003, our aim is to design travel experiences that inspire stories worth sharing. The company also powers and manages Visa’s global hotel program for their affluent cardholders. With 50+ full-time employees, we are located in a beautiful office in the vibrant Gastown neighbourhood of Vancouver.

Please Note: This position is based out of our central office in downtown Vancouver and is accessible by all major transport links.   • Write well-architected, maintainable Object Oriented PHP code
  • Add new features to hotel booking sites, services and applications
  • Support and improve our existing web services API
  • Improve and build out technical toolset (testing framework, Continuous Integration system, etc)
  • Write & maintain tests (unit, functional, behat, mocha)
  • Improve site performance
  • Support all business units with troubleshooting
  • Integrate 3rd party tools for analysis and site visibility
  • Be a leader by collaborating and teaching other developers


  • 5+ years of OOP experience
  • Brings full stack experience & knowledge (Frontend code, Backend code, Devops)
  • Knowledge of Symfony or a similar PHP framework
  • Proficiency in front end tech (CSS/ HTML & JS Frameworks)
  • Experience with web-based architecture
  • Familiarity with web services, including REST-based and SOAP
  • Excellent communication through slack, zoom and email
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Able to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Bonus: Knowledge of Web Accessibility
  • Bonus: Experience in Agile environments
  • Bonus: Education in computer science, engineering, or related field


Frontend Development: Javascript, jQuery, Zurb Foundation, Gulp, NPM, AngularJS, SASS, TWIG, Vue.js

Backend Development: Symfony 4 PHP frameworks, Doctrine, Composer, MySQL, ElasticSearch

Devops: AWS (EC2, CloudFormation, Route53, S3, CloudFront, RDS), Apache, Vagrant, Git

Internal Business Development Applications: Salesforce, Netsuite
