Zenshi handcrafed sushi is looking for a friendly, reliable Sushi Bar Team Member to join our in-store sushi counter!
Duties
- Prepare fresh sushi rolls, nigiri, and related items daily
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve customers promptly with friendly, attentive service, answering questions about menu items and ingredients
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and safety at all times
- Assist in restocking supplies and ingredients to keep the sushi bar fully equipped during busy hours
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Previous sushi experience preferred ( not required - will train the right candidate )
- Food handler's certification ( or willingness to obtain one )
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling practices to prevent contamination
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, engaging attitude toward guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Passion for the food industry and a desire to learn more about sushi craftsmanship and presentation
