ACCOUNTING CLERK
Calgary, Alberta
Full-time, permanent position
DD West LLP is seeking an energetic, conscientious Accounting Clerk who can multi-task to meet tight deadlines, has the ability to work independently while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. This role requires someone with a can-do attitude that is experienced in the accounting field with a strong interest to grow with our team. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must!
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Process and print cheques;
- Prepare and complete bank deposits;
- Review bank accounts for direct deposits and assist with reconciling accounts;
- Post transactions to applicable trust or general accounts, post disbursements, payment of client accounts and maintain trust accounts;
- Reconcile, process and file accounts payable invoices
- Identify process improvements and share knowledge and experience within the team;
- Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with our Partners and team members;
Qualifications and competencies:
- Post-secondary education
- An Accounting certificate or diploma is an asset;
- At least one year of working in a professional office environment;
- Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Demonstrated commitment to quality of work, compliance with standard accounting policies and procedures, professional ethics and integrity;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client service skills;
- Strong data entry skills;
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize with a high attention to detail;
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and ProLaw are an asset;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Excellent organization and file management skills along with the ability to work independently;

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
