Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Roadway Auto Service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various tools and machinery, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with heavy equipment are highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse automotive systems and industrial equipment in a dynamic environment.
Tasks
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
- Discuss work with supervisor.
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Review work orders.
- Test automotive systems and components.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service.
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
