Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Overnight Grocery Clerk to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is essential in ensuring the store remains well-stocked, clean, and organized during overnight hours. Responsibilities
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure product availability and attractive displays
- Operate equipment such as forklifts (training provided) for moving heavy or bulk items safely
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
- Assist customers with inquiries, product location, and general customer service needs
- Perform cashiering duties accurately and efficiently when required
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with merchandising to optimize product presentation
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, including proper maintenance of equipment and store areas
- Support store maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the store environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or customer service is preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to learn (training provided)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to assist customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Capable of lifting heavy items and performing physical tasks such as bending, standing for extended periods, and moving throughout the store
- Good time management skills to ensure all responsibilities are completed efficiently during shift hours
- Reliable transportation and availability for overnight shifts are required
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
