Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee front desk operations: check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
- Coordinate with departments for seamless guest experiences across housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
- Train and motivate staff to deliver personalized and extraordinary guest experiences.
- Anticipate and address guest needs promptly, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Provide coverage as necessary, including breaks, late arrivals, and absences.
- Participate in room inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate group arrivals and departures.
- Assist with planning and executing coaching sessions as needed.
- Maintain and restock supplies, informing management of necessary orders.
- Stay informed about local attractions, events, and dining to recommend to guests.
- Uphold Canvas's standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.
- Manage inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Front Office/Guest Services; Hilton experience is a plus.
- Bilingual French / English is a plus.
- Hospitality Degree/Diploma or related discipline preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
- Articulate, self-motivated, confident, and a positive team player.
- Strong communication, supervisory, guest service, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective sales skills for securing new business and upselling products/services.
- Ability to work well under pressure, detail-oriented, and excellent communication skills.
- Availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts as required.
