Proudfoots Home Hardware Building Centre in Stellarton is looking for an enthusiastic high school student for part-time work after school and on weekends.
If you like to keep busy and want to gain work experience in a supportive and flexible environment, we want to hear from you! We're currently looking for a dynamic high school student to work on our Project Desk.
We aim to schedule our students for 2-3 shifts per week after school, and one day shift per weekend. After school shifts are from 4pm until 8pm and Saturday shifts are 8 to 10 hours between 7:45am and 6:15pm. Our Sunday shifts are up to 7.5 hours between 9.45am and 5:15pm).
Duties include:
- Ringing in lumber and building materials for walk-in customers and contractors/tradespeople
- Estimating materials for various projects (windows & doors, roofing, decks, garages, etc.) for customers/contractors/tradespeople and following through to get the sale
- Building relationships with customers to create repeat business
- Merchandising and maintenance in the building materials department
We're looking for someone who is a good team player and who does well in a fast paced environment. Significant computer use is required. If you are motivated by making the sale and have excellent customer service skills, we are interested in talking to you!
