Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AZ Driver/Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while managing your own vehicle. As an AZ/Driver Owner Operator, you will have the flexibility to operate independently while ensuring high standards of service and compliance with all regulations.
Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage logistics including route planning and scheduling deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize delivery processes.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely when loading or unloading freight (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of commercial AZ vehicle driving experience required
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid ODL (Ontario Driver's License).
- Experience in freight transportation and logistics management is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Skills in automotive repair are a plus to ensure vehicle upkeep.
